More than 100 experts of the forming industry joined the 11th RoundTable in Bamberg
Hamburg, November 20th, 2009 – More than 100 attendees joined the 11th RoundTable in Bamberg, the user conference on "Simulation in Bulk Metal Forming Technology”, despite the current difficult economic situation. The yearly conference of Simufact Engineering GmbH, a leading provider of software and services in the area of bulk metal forming, was visited by customers and interested parties of various industry areas, to gain the latest news about forming simulation and to exchange recent trends of the branch.
In addition to interesting highlights about the latest version 9.0 of Simufact.forming and an outlook on future software developments, papers from SMS Meer GmbH, MSC.Software, Sieber Forming Solutions, TU Chemnitz, alutec Metallwaren GmbH, Hochschule Heilbronn, FE Design, TU Dortmund and Keiper gave useful insights into the usage of forming simulation in industry applications and future trends.
As already seen during the RoundTable of past years, the interest in the technical session, following the presentation program of the conference, was high. Main topic was the new version Simufact.forming 9.0 with its numerous innovations and new modules, especially for ring rolling simulation. Simufact presented the new features of the software as well as tips and tricks for the usage of the environment. The technical session provided further more a forum in which the company presented future development plans and a platform to network between users and software developers.
The accompanying exhibition featured numerous companies, universities and associations, among them METAKUS GmbH, F&E Design GmbH, Sieber Forming Solution GmbH, Industrieverband Massivumformung e.V., ABP Induction Systems GmbH, MSC Software GmbH, TU Chemnitz, Universität Kassel, Universität Darmstadt, Universität Hannover and Intel GmbH.
