Optical centricity measuring head for optical fibers

When optical fibres are applied to solid cores (tight buffering), the concentric position of the optical fibres in their sheathing is an important quality criterion. The VXY optical measuring head establishes the position of the fibres on two axes at right angles to one another and projects the strongly magnified result onto a monitor for inspection. The enlarged, dual-axis display greatly facilities precise adjustment of the applicator head relative to the fibre by means of adjustment screws. This ensures reliable production at a high standard of quality.
