AWS Schäfer Technologie GmbH successfully delivers a further induction pipe bending machine
In its third generation AWS Schäfer Technologie GmbH delivers innovative machines for pipe forming and metal sheet forming. The tradition international company from Wilnsdorf, Germany is worldwide famous for technical progress in the area of pipe forming.
In November 2009 AWS Schäfer delivered a machine "SRBMI 800" to a prestigious producer of pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers etc. This machine allows the bending of ferritic and austenitic steel pipes of diameters up to 864 mm and wall thicknesses of up to 100 mm, where the ovality rate of max. 4 % is guaranteed. With optimized processing as well as optmal temperature controlling and a coordinated machine system an impeccable bending quality is ensured and the ovality and the wall thickness reducing are far under the applied standards.
This machine has been constructed for a special economic production of inductive bendings, where the costs are comparatively low regarding all cost-effective processes.
New materials (p.e. P91, P92) and component constructions require adjusted pipe bending machines and induction heat treatments. The machines of AWS Schäfer are construed regarding these requirements with bigger bending moments and feeding forces, where smalles radii can be bent coincidently.
