The VQS video monitoring system has been designed to continuously monitor the print quality of fast-running cable printing machines (up to 1,500 m/min.). The system also offers the convenience of being able to view the entire print area at various magnifications on a monitor screen.
The system consists of a video camera with integrated flash units that are automatically synchronized with the printing process. They are mounted on a motor-driven head that can be pivoted around the cable axis, making it extremely easy to find the correct orientation (cable twisting after printing). The system is completed by a sturdy frame with an integrated PC on a pivoting bracket and control boxes with power supplies and motor controller for rotating and focusing the head. The system can very easily be connected to the stroboscope socket of the cable printing machine. The device is encapsulated to prevent soiling by ink splashes, and thanks to its compact footprint is very easy to integrate in the cable production line after the printing machine.
