Simufact Engineering GmbH - formerly FEMUTEC - Introduces new Version 8.1 of Simufact.forming at Wire 2008 in Düsseldorf

New software version eases practical use and benefits from parallel computing technologies to shorten calculation times

Hamburg, March 14th, 2008 – Simufact Engineering GmbH, a leading provider of software and services in the area of massive forming, announced today that the company will again exhibit at this year’s Wire 2008, from March 31st – April 4th in Düsseldorf, Germany. At the trade show, Simufact Engineering will introduce the new version 8.1 of Simufact.forming, which will be released in May 2008. Among other features, the new release offers improvements of the graphical user interface, improved solver technology, more efficient data exchange with CAD tools, as well as the implementation of parallel computing, to guarantee short calculation times.

„The Wire in Düsseldorf is one of our most important trade shows and we are very happy to participate again with our booth,“ said Michael Wohlmuth, managing director of Simufact Engineering GmbH. „We will use the trade show as a platform to introduce the new version of our software Simufact.forming, which will be released in May. We will demonstrate this live at our booth at the Wire 2008."

Within the Simufact software environment, the user can access different application modules for different production areas. The Simufact Environment includes different software modules, among others Simufact.forming, the module for forming simulation, which is built up as a modular system to be combined individually for every need. Simufact.forming integrates the products MSC.SuperForm and MSC.SuperForge, formerly developed and distributed by MSC.Software and is based on the standards of the MSC.Marc and MSC.Dytran solver technology.
