Salzgitter to support Foundation 2°

Salzgitter AG has joined the “Foundation 2 Degrees – German CEOs for Climate Protection” as a promoting company providing support for this important platform.

Foundation 2 Degrees has been set up across sectors and, from the standpoint of the Group, is ideal for illustrating the various aspects of the transformation tasks that lie ahead in the business community, as well as for forging ahead with joint solutions and initiatives.

Salzgitter AG is currently engaged in dialog with politicians, trade unions and other groups in society. The most important preconditions for realizing a CO₂-low steel production are already foreseeble today: the availability of internationally competitive prices for renewable energies and the achieving of advantages for customers who use steel from CO₂-low production.
