At this year's GIFA in Düsseldorf, everything at Yxlon revolved around computer tomography for a wide variety of testing tasks in the foundry industry - from precise laboratory systems for research and development through quality control on the production line to inline solutions in production.
The YXLON FF35 CT high-resolution industrial CT system for small and medium-sized parts was the first of its kind. It is designed for extremely accurate inspection results and metrological applications in laboratory environments. The latest version was presented here: an improved detector with increased active area, new live filters, additional trajectories for scanning diversity and the intuitive Geminy software platform.
With the help of touch operation via graphical symbols, health monitor, status light and push messages as well as predefined user levels and remote functions, the FF35 CT delivers the best test results for users with little previous knowledge as well as for experts. Visitors were invited to analyze their own test parts of up to 53 cm in diameter and 80 cm in height live in the system.
The YXLON MU60 X-ray and CT inspection system is designed for a wide range of applications, particularly in the foundry sector of the automotive and aerospace industries. Compliant with current standards such as DICONDE, ASTM, MAI and Nadcap and equipped with ADR (automatic defect detection), it is the perfect at-line inspection system for large castings.
The live demonstrations of both 2D radioscopy and 3D computed tomography impressed GIFA visitors due to the size of the system and the possible test objects.
A special focus was on the brand new CT inline solution. CT Inline is the next step towards industry 4.0. The use of the complete data of each individual object in the production line forms the basis for reliable product quality and continuous process optimization.
Yxlon offers its customers CT inline solutions to meet individual inspection requirements that keep pace with every production cycle in today's foundries. Yxlon's CT Inline will take manufacturing processes to a new level with its advanced detector technology, sophisticated mechanics and Microvista's proven inline analysis software.
