SAMP reports excellent business and record number of visitors at Wire 2012

The management of Messe Düsseldorf is delighted with this year's outcome of Wire 2012 and so is the SAMP Group. The numbers speak clearly: more than 2,500 exhibitors in the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre attracted about 73,500 visitors from 111 Countries in five intense days of trade fair business. All the exhibitors polled in the exhibition halls agreed that the professionalism of the visitors registered at the stands had been again higher than before. Constructive talks, avid interest in purchasing and actual deals as well as expectations regarding interesting follow-up business all characterised the atmosphere at Wire 2012.

As Artemio Affaticati, CEO of SAMP Group, puts it: “The Wire Düsseldorf show went outstandingly well for SAMP and we registered a record number of visitors since the very first day. According to our internal statistics, the number of visitors coming from all around the world increased by 5% compared to the previous edition of the same fair. We attribute this to the high number of innovative products and world premieres we have presented at Wire 2012. Our customers especially appreciated the possibility of having all their SAMP machines connected to our plants located in Italy, in the US and in China via tablet and Cloud technology, in order to get immediate support and improvement suggestions whenever needed. We have already signed a number of contracts at the show and are definitely expecting many interesting post-fair business.”

One of the most admired products was surely the new SAMP multi-wire drawing line, consisting in a DM 80 drawing machine for 16 wires, inline annealer AN 200 H and the double spooler DS 800. The line, suitable both for aluminium and for copper, is characterized by the high energy efficiency and a power factor (cosφ) higher than 0.95. The increased DM 80 production capacity is due to a significant reduction of the acceleration and deceleration ramps and the reduced number of machine’s components, which simplify the maintenance operations.

We registered a particularly positive feedback also for the new bunching machine BM 800 C that, thanks to innovative construction solutions, allows a reduction of energy consumption by 35% compared to traditional machines, and for the innovative double automatic spooler DS 800 A, suitable for cylindrical, conical and collapsible reels.

The visitors were also favourably impressed by our new-generation of extruders, SAMP 120-25 and 60-25, specifically designed to maximize productivity while minimizing waste materials and at the same time ensuring great flexibility and production stability.
