Sandvik celebrates the first 150 years at Tube 2012 in Düsseldorf, Germany

Sandvik celebrates its 150 year anniversary this year marking the occasion prominently on its stand at Tube 2012 in Düsseldorf, Germany demonstrating the company's extensive capability in the development and production of products in stainless steel and special alloys.

Stainless steel tubes in the form of hydraulic and instrumentation tubing through to duplex heat exchanger tubes and high-temperature tubes, precision tubes and the latest umbilical tubing will all be exhibited. Demonstrations of a new bar converter tool, that calculates possible cost savings when switching from solid bar to hollow bar, will take place. The tool is also available as an App for iPhone and iPad.

Showing the company's versatility in the manufacture of products of a complex nature, Sandvik's HIP products, manufactured by powder metallurgy-based hot isostatic pressing (PM HIP), will be on display. The process allows the production of complete geometrically intricate near-net shape products.

In the adjacent hall 11 Sandvik Wire Products, stand G31, and Sandvik Heating Technology Products, stand E32 displaying the Kanthal range, will be exhibiting at Wire 2012 that runs concurrently with Tube 2012.
