Precision Steel Tubes produced by Forster Rohr- & Profiltechnik AG

Forster manufactures welded and cold-drawn precision steel tubes in line with customer-specific requirements, according to EN 10305-2 and EN 10305-3.
The production of Forster precision steel tubes ranges from outside diameter 16 mm to 76 mm with wall thickness from 0,8 to 6 mm and for the cold drawn execution from outside diameter 10 to 60 mm with wall thickness from 0,8 to 5,5 mm.

For the manufacture of steel furniture tubes, Forster offers a specially developed tube quality “Swiss Gloss”, produced from cold rolled strip. The tubes have an extremely low surface roughness value of Ra max. 0.2 µm. The tubes can therefore be plated without the need for costly surface grinding and polishing.

In the automotive industry, Forster welded precision steel tubes are used in a wide range of applications. Depending on customer requirements, expensive seamless or cold drawn tubes can be substituted by a cost effective alternative of direct welded execution.

The products are developed in close co-operation with the customer – for individual and optimum solutions.
