WALLRAM-Group takes over LIZZINI Grinding-Machines
WALLRAM completes acquisition of LIZZINI Precision Grinding Machineries in Italy
Herborn (Deutschland) / Montichiari - Italy
The WALLRAM-Group, one of the leading suppliers of high-performance tools and wearing
parts made of hard materials such as tungsten carbide and advanced ceramics, has taken
over the Italian manufacturer of high precision grinding machines, LIZZINI Machines.
LIZZINI, who is famous for developing and producing high-end grinding machines for
maximum precision, has an excellent reputation in the industry for being very innovative.
The acquisition of LIZZINI was completed through WALLRAM GrindTec S.r.l., an affiliate
company of WALLRAM-Group, which is also now based in Montichiari near Brescia.
“The integration of LIZZINI into our portfolio represents a significant and important step in the
expansion strategy of the WALLRAM-Group”, says Hans-Peter Kämpfer, President and CEO
of WALLRAM-Group. “We are strengthening our strategy to combine our own know-how in
manufacturing engineering with our knowledge in material science on a long-term basis.
“If we want to sustain our leadership as system supplier of high-end tooling solutions, we
also need to exert influence on production technology. It represents the key for precision and
reliability.”, says Mr. Kämpfer and continues: “With WALLRAM GrindTec as manufacturer of
LIZZINI machines, we are now holding that key. Quality and flexibility in our production
processes can now be taken a step further. Now, we can offer more individual and special
solutions to our customers.”
The person in charge of the LIZZINI business is Massimiliano Tortelli. He also sees a great
potential for the future: “The development and production of machines combined with user
know-how is an important criteria for our products. It enables us to get a better understanding
of our client’s requirements. We can then incorporate this knowledge in the engineering
process of our machines.”
The WALLRAM-Group with further affiliate companies and production sites in Herborn und
Essen in Germany, Krakow in Poland, Colorado Springs in the USA, Dale in Norway and
now also in Montichiari in Italy, is supplier of precision tools and wearing parts out of
tungsten carbide, ceramics and tool steel.
