Kolene molten salt bath processes are used by many OEMs for the following cleaning applications:
Removal of protective films and die lubricants from titanium after forging, forming, and SPF operations.Scale removal and surface conditioning of titanium components prior to chemical milling.Conditioning of welding scales on air frame components prior to pickling.

Kolene processes are the "de facto" standard among domestic and international producers for descaling and cleaning stainless, superalloy, and refractory metals of lubricants used in the production and manufacturing process.
