AWM’s Cold Rolling Lines are designed to be extremely strong and reliable: to enhance efficiency they feature quick-change cold rolling cassettes. Model “6MT”, standard, and “12MT”, fast, are equipped with a special 3-gear transmission box for the capstan. The basic version of the machines allows two reduction steps; also available are other versions with four reduction steps, equipped with three capstans [mod. “12MT/3”] suitable to draw wire down to three millimeters. The spooler can have vertical [mod. “6MT” only] or horizontal axis with manual or semi-automatic unloading of the reel. Also possible is the installation of a two-station fully automatic spooler with integrated stripping unit and collapsible reel opening system.

AWM produces cold rolling plants, pof the type roll-to-roll oder roll-to-bar, with maximum speed above 12 mt/sec, using rolling cassettes technology.

Machines are fed with 5,5 to 16mm low carbon wire coils and produce 3 to 14 smooth oder ribbed wire. Models "6MT" and "12 MT" produce wire in coils, models "LAM 512" produces wire in bars and model "LAM 512 S" produces both in coils or bars. Years of research and technical sharpenings allowed the plants to grant a thorough reliability and easy use. AWM also provides accesoires for already exixting machines, like decoilers, descalers, coilers, and rolling cassettes.

A.W.M. develops automatic plants for the shaping and straightening of steel wire. The new "E.S.A. 16 PLUS" is a wire bending machine suitable to manufacturing bars, brackets and shaped steel with a maximum length of 12 m and maximum diametre of 16 mm. The machine is powered by brushless servomotors and it is equipped with automatic diametre change and double bending unit for the wire head and tail shaping, which grants a high productivity. Furthermore, a straitening roll integrated in the plant allows the production of straight bars at 2m/sec.speed, with flying shear cutting! The straightening machine "Duo Straight" has been designed in order to produce straight bars with a maximum diametre of 12 mm at a speed above 140 m/min. Its ideal surroundings are steel manufacturing centres for the building industry. Straightening technology through "hyperbolical rolls" allows the output of a perfect finished product without damaging the wire ribbed surface. The machine is equipped with two straitening rotating elements, one for small diametres and the other for bigger diametres. The passage to one another takes just few seconds, thanks to the exclusive "revolver" system.
