Engineered specifically for the production of flexible metal hose, T&H Lemont’s FHM Series is the newest technology available for the production of this increasingly popular type of hose. Metal strip is automatically wound into an interlocking or overlapping spiral, enabling you to produce consistently high-quality product with minimal operator involvement. The FHM Series readily handles coated cold rolled steel and stainless steel, producing hose with inside diameters from 1/4″ to 16″. A packing filament can be inserted during the forming process to offer protection against dust and moisture. And all T&H Lemont Flexible Metal Hose machines are available with either a speed matching rotating drum type accumulator or motorized run out table.Link to further Information
High Frequency (HF) Mill Systems — These are the work horses of the pipe and tube industry, and the hallmark of the T&H Lemont product line. When coupled with large hi-frequency welders and fast cutoffs, these hi-speed precision platforms, with up to 1000 feet per minute, serve the automotive, structural and mechanical tube markets on a year-after-year basis producing millions of feet as well as hundreds of thousands of tons of carbon steel, stainless steel or super hi-strength (100 KSI plus) pipe and tube. Our specialty is the abnormal and difficult, as in Diameter-to-thickness (D/t) ratios of plus 80 D/t and under 5 D/t.
Our Dual Capacity Mill is a pioneering concept in mill construction, with the WU-20/WU-40, combining two mill systems into one high speed production line. With minimal downtime, exact precision, and the ability to produce .5 to 6.625 inch (12 to 168.3 mm) diameter tubing, our customers have reached record production runs. Ideal for many applications, these mills are preferred for the manufacturer of hydro- formed tubing, sprinkler pipe, conduit, mechanical and structural tubing, varied disciplines that many manufacturers seek for expanded capabilities and broader market appeal, and so their profits. It is this very focus on the products you wish to make, that drives our engineering and technological achievements, coupled with the vast resources of the Inductotherm group of mill equipment companies, that places T&H Lemont head and shoulders above other manufacturers.
Be it carbon or stainless steel — T&H Lemont is the source you can trust. From start to finish we are the only single source that can stand behind your entire mill project. And when T&H Lemont’s mills are coupled with the high frequency solid-state welders and Alpha™ cutoffs from Thermatool Corp., these hi-speed precision platforms deliver the performance benchmark for the industry to beat. These are the systems of choice for automotive hydroforming, electrical conduit, structural and mechanical tube manufacturing applications.
Year-after-year, often running up to 1000 feet per minute, T&H Lemont installations the world over, turn hundreds of thousands of tons of carbon, stainless and/or super hi-strength (100 KSI plus) steel into millions of feet of pipe and tubing of superior structural integrity and strength. And while we offer a broad range in mill sizes, we inventory only the most primary pieces of any platform, allowing us to customize your application from a menu of our proven building blocks for standardized subsystems. These one-of-a-kind configurations (low/high D/t ratios, high strength materials, hi-speed, special finish, etc) are designed and delivered with the same fast turn around and protective warranties that equal or surpass industry norms for most standard size systems.
You should expect more. Exceeding customer expectations was the evolutionary driver behind acquisitions that created T&H Lemont. This foundation, with the complement of our place in the Thermatool family of companies, has collectively pioneered many technologies that drive the tube and pipe industry. And we approach each project knowing that what we did on the last project is just history, and that what we’ll do for you tomorrow, will be apart of your future and our legacy.Link to further Information
Designed for the most precise fabrication of stainless steel and other precious metals such as copper, brass, platinum, titanium and even gold, T&H Lemont Laser and TIG mills provide the tightest tolerances for production. The mandate behind our unparalleled design is, in a word, control. Control over everything that can go wrong. With inline bright annealing systems and in-line weld operations; potential contamination of the seam is virtually eliminated.
A multi-cathode TIG welder provides simultaneous, constant and controlled arcs. Air driven jaw assemblies deliver near-zero distortion in end cuts, all managed and monitored with multi-section digital electronic controls. Our unique sequential welding configuration means increased mill throughput and performance by combining a power source with a high frequency arc that initiates the weld and shielding gas flow, all aimed at optimum consistency and integrity of the seam.
With all this rigid science at work, you still have the range and flexibility of varied production specifications such as four and six roll water cooled weldboxes with guide shoe capabilities all geared towards maximum versatility in product yield.
T&H Lemont understands the need for absolute control of your mill to ensure consistent and uncompromised quality of your product – the core upon which you stake your reputation and the same on which we build ours. No other mill system on the market delivers the weld integrity and tight tolerances of our Laser & TIG mills. And when you are working with expensive raw materials, yield and utilization is at an equal premium with output.
Combined with the uniform interfaces of our individual mill components and ancillary equipment, we are the only mill manufacturer to offer a complete system – providing you with a single source – and a single point of responsibility for every point of every process, from conception to installation and training.Link to further Information
The T&H Lemont Seam Orientation Stand is designed to locate the weld seam in any location on the “mother” tube between the 10 o’clock and the 2 o’clock position.
The Seam Orientation Stand is located after the induction welding section to maintain the weld seam at top, dead center to insure proper annealing of the tube and pipe weld seam. Likewise, when forming shapes from a round tube or pipe, the Seam Orientation Stand can maintain the weld seam at top, dead center during the shaping process.
If the customer specification calls for the weld seam to be moved from top, dead center, the T&H Lemont Seam Orientation Stand can easily move and maintain the weld seam in the desired location.Link to further Information

Autonomy and simplicity are critical at the starting gate to the mill. T&H Lemont puts these needs at the forefront of our innovation and construction of strip accumulators that translates into one important benefit — reliability. The integrated programmable controllers maintain the critical factors for strip processing and feed timing.
Maximum strip storage, combined with separate and unrelated fill/pull out speeds allow for the loading and end welding of new feed coils, independent of the mill. Strip feeds on the OD and pulls independently on the ID. The strip accumulator can fill at high speeds even if the mill is stopped and just as equally feed the mill continuously with no pause, should you experience a temporary delay in reload or end welding. Made with the most rugged environments in mind — T&H Lemont accumulators offer more than smooth operations for your operator, but a vacation from relentless repair and maintenance that shows up on your bottom line in a lowered cost of ownership almost immediately.
To be blunt, at the front of the line, the consistent and continuous operation of your mill depends on the opposite. You must have the flexibility to handle speed fluctuations and complete mill stops, without disrupting the pace and flow of forming, welding, cutting and bundling of the rest of your process.
No other strip accumulator gives you this smooth operational autonomy than that from T&H Lemont. We sought out the best technology possible to yield the most important benefit for this equipment.
An integrated programmable controller determines the strip processing and feed timing, not the operator. And the simplicity of operation is built into every element of our design.
Maximum strip storage along with separate fill/pull speed controls allows for loading and splicing of new coils independent of the speed and timing of the line, even continuing to load at a rapid pace while the rest of the mill is stopped.
The delicate flexibilities of our strip accumulators do not surrender precision over time. Ours are built with the most rugged of mill environments in mind, and their performance on the day you install them is assured for many years to come. Ease of maintenance and repair is an additional relief for more than just the operator, but for maintenance all the way up to the boardroom and to those that watch the bottom line – T&H Lemont strip accumulators are synonymous with the start of worry-free mill operations.Link to further Information
